What we believe
A foundation of eight beliefs.
Each one shows up in what and how we build.
Start with the person.
Most AIs guess who you are from what you click, a new guess every time. selfActual starts with how you think and work, and builds outward from there.
How it works →What you learn about yourself adds up, if it stays yours.
Knowing how you work is worth more in year ten than in week one. But only if it’s still yours and still accurate.
Your data should outlast every institution that holds it.
Your school app belongs to the district. Your work tools belong to your employer. Your vault belongs to you, so it goes with you from school to work.
Custodian, not owner.
Like a bank with your money: we look after your vault, but it stays yours. We don’t sell it, rent it, trade it or advertise with it.
Your data →You train your AI. We don’t.
We don’t use your vault to train our models or anyone else’s. Every correction you make teaches your AI, and only yours.
Humans first. AI can be wrong.
Talia and Imprint show their reasoning and where each piece came from, so you can check. If you disagree, they drop it.
Suggestions, not instructions.
Our products provide useful suggestions, but it is always up to the user to make the final decisions.
Open standards and fully portable. Leaving is always possible.
Your vault is built on open standards and is fully portable, so it isn’t locked to selfActual. You can move it — leaving is easy. That’s why we have to keep earning the right to hold it.

Book a call →Try Imprint in Claude.
The alpha runs in Claude and works best with a paid Claude account. As an early product, honest feedback is what we’re looking for.
