The Key Idea

The vault isn't just storage. It's the connection layer. When Imprint learns how you think, Atlas can use that in coaching. When Atlas captures an assessment, Prompter can offer reflections about it. One vault. Every app enriching the same picture of you.

How It Works

Every app reads and writes to your vault.

Traditional apps keep your data in silos. SelfActual apps share a common data layer โ€” your vault. This means each app can build on what the others have contributed, creating a picture of you that no single tool could achieve.

What Lives in Your Vault

Everything that makes up your self-knowledge.

๐Ÿ“Š

Assessments

Star Card scores, StrengthsFinder results, DISC profiles, flow attributes โ€” every assessment you've ever taken, structured and linked.

๐Ÿง

Your AI Profile

How you process information, communicate, make decisions, and what your blind spots are. Written by Imprint, reviewed and controlled by you.

โœ๏ธ

Reflections

Guided reflections from Prompter, strength reflections from workshops, final synthesis insights. Your inner work, preserved and private.

๐Ÿ’ฌ

Session History

Summaries of AI coaching conversations โ€” decisions made, open questions, next steps. A running record of your growth work.

๐Ÿ“‹

Growth Plans

Goals, development areas, and progress tracking โ€” connected to the assessments and reflections that informed them.

๐Ÿ“œ

Provenance

A complete audit trail. What was written, when, and by which app. Full transparency over everything in your vault.

Permissions

You decide who sees what.

Private by default.

Your reflections, session logs, and personal observations are private โ€” always. They live in your vault and no app, coach, or teammate can see them unless you explicitly grant access.

This isn't a setting you have to remember to turn on. Privacy is the default. Sharing is the deliberate act.

Permission controls

Share what you choose.

Want your coach to see your assessment results? Grant them read access to assessments โ€” not reflections, not session history, not your AI profile. Granular, explicit, revocable.

When you share assessments with a team lead, they see the scores and the framework context. They never see what you reflected on privately or what you discussed with your AI coach.

Sharing controls

Portable. Open. Yours.

Your vault uses open, standard data formats. Not a proprietary database. Not a platform-locked store. If you leave SelfActual, export your vault and take everything with you.

We operate as a data fiduciary โ€” a custodian with structural obligations to you, similar to how a bank holds your assets. The architecture itself prevents misuse, not just a policy.

Data portability

The Compound Effect

Each app makes the others better.

Because every app reads from and writes to your vault, your self-knowledge compounds. Here's what that looks like in practice:

1

You take a strengths assessment through AllStarTeams.

Your Star Card scores and flow attributes are written to your vault automatically.

2

Atlas reads those results and starts an AI coaching conversation.

The coaching is grounded in your actual scores โ€” not generic advice. It knows your Thinking score is 78 and your dominant quadrant is Feeling.

3

Prompter offers you a reflection prompt based on your assessment.

"How does your Thinking strength show up in your daily work?" Your written reflection is saved to the vault.

4

Imprint reads your assessment, your reflection, and your coaching session.

Now it knows not just your scores, but how you think about them, what you struggle with, and what you're working on. Every future conversation is richer.

Your self-knowledge deserves
a real home.

Not a database someone else controls. A vault that belongs to you.
